Abandonment – Glencairn Road, Belfast
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), being of the opinion that the road is not necessary for road traffic, gives notice of its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to abandon an area of 16948 square metres of road at Glencairn Road, Belfast, extending from its junction with Wolfhill Road for a distance of 950 metres in a westerly and then northerly direction

Consultation description
The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 12th November 2025 to 19th December 2025 at DfI TRAM Eastern Division, Hydebank House, 4a Hospital Road, Ballydollaghan, Belfast, BT8 8JL or viewed online at www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/consultations

Inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using the email address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) on 0300 200 7899.
Making an objection
Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing lands.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds of the objection.
