Health Minister Robin Swann is again urging people to look after their mental health and wellbeing.
The Health Minister said: “The impact and experience of the Covid-19 pandemic has been different for everyone, but there's no doubt it continues to be a difficult time for everyone. The pandemic has caused uncertainty and complicated our daily lives and routines and added to stress.”
Outlining the steps we can all take to look after our mental health and wellbeing, Minister Swann, said: “It is so important to do what we can to look after our mental health and wellbeing, now more than ever. Most of us know when we are mentally and physically well, but sometimes we need a little extra help to keep well. The Take 5 steps to wellbeing can help to maintain and improve wellbeing.
“I would encourage everyone to connect with others; be active; take notice of the things around you; keep learning; and give back to your community when you can. These five simple steps can greatly help when included in our daily lives.”
Information on looking after mental health and the wide range of support which is available across Northern Ireland can also be found on the 'Minding Your Head' website. The website also contains information on free stress control classes, useful healthcare apps, and self-help guides to support wellbeing. If you are concerned about your physical or emotional wellbeing, you should contact your GP.

This is a confidential service where trained counsellors will listen and help immediately on the phone and follow up with other support if necessary.
