Economy Minister Conor Murphy today welcomed 15 high quality training places for people with a degree in any discipline on the Financial Crime Compliance Assured Skills Academy with Treliant.
Funded by the Department for the Economy and focussing on financial crime compliance, the Assured Skills Academy will see participants receive five weeks training at Belfast Met and Ulster University which will provide practical knowledge and real-world experience required to work in the sector.
Applications for the Financial Crime Compliance Assured Skills Academy are open until midnight on 14 April 2024. Interviews will be held 30 April – 2 May 2024 and training will commence for successful applicants on 20 May.
Applicants who complete the training will be guaranteed a job interview for a role with Treliant at their Belfast office.
Highlighting the opportunity, the Minister said: “Developing the local skills base is a key element of my economic vision. Assured Skills Academies have a proven track record of success in upskilling people and helping them secure employment in good jobs. This new Academy with Treliant offers eligible individuals the opportunity to learn the skills necessary for a successful career in what is an exciting and fast-paced sector, with no previous experience needed.
“With a weekly training allowance of £175 per week plus travel expenses while you train, this is a great opportunity, and I urge anyone who is interested and meets the criteria to apply.”

The Financial Crime Compliance Skills Academy will focus on a range of areas including Financial Markets and Transaction Monitoring, KYC/Sanctions and AML/Whistleblowing, Financial Crime, Microsoft Office and Excel.
The Academy will include two weeks training with Belfast Met and three weeks with Ulster University.
