You may be aware that EU Regulation 2017/852 on Mercury has been adopted by Member States and it applies to mercury, mercury compounds and mercury-added products. This filled gaps in previous legislation and enabled ratification of the Minamata Convention.

I previously wrote to you on 6 April this year to highlight the implications for the dental profession of the above legislation. Despite the ongoing BREXIT negotiations, the UK must comply with this EU Regulation.

The purpose of this circular is to signal an upcoming change to the terms used within Schools Information Management System (SIMS) to record pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
