Temporary Control Zone Declaration
The Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018 come into operation on 3 January 2019. This follows a joint DAERA / Food Standards Agency Northern Ireland public consultation.
Certain animals and products of animal origin that are not covered by European Union regulations require an import licence or authorisation to be imported into Northern Ireland. Many animals and products of animal origin can be imported under “general” licence
These guidance notes have been produced by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) to provide informal advice on how to comply with the legal requirements of the EU legislation and our domestic Animal By-Products (Enforcement) Regul
