The Department is proposing to amend the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Northern Ireland) Regulations to ban tyres aged 10 years or older on the front steered axles of HGVs, buses and coaches, and for all tyres in single configuration on minibuses.
The Period Products (Free Provision) Act (Northern Ireland) 2022 (the Act) received Royal Assent on 12 May 2022. The Act places a duty on the Executive Office to ensure that period products are available free of charge, on a universal basis, in appropriate locations.
